What happens to your domain if you delete your account

Your purchased domain stays registered even if you close your EasyWebie account. Learn how to recover, reconnect, or transfer it — and how to contact support for help.

1

Your domain registration is safe

If you delete your EasyWebie account, your domain registration is not cancelled. The domain stays registered in your name for the full period you paid for — typically until the annual expiry date shown on your original purchase receipt.

Domain registration is handled by a separate registrar on your behalf. Closing your EasyWebie account removes your dashboard access and your website, but it does not instruct the registrar to release or cancel the domain. The registration is intact and the domain is still legally yours.

2

What actually gets removed when you delete your account

When an account is deleted, the following happens automatically:

Cloudflare DNS zone removed — the zone that was routing your domain to your EasyWebie site is deleted. Your domain stops pointing to your site.
EasyWebie dashboard record removed — the domain no longer appears in any dashboard.
Website and pages deleted — your site content, sections, and media are permanently removed.
Cloudflare Pages project deleted — the published site files are removed from the CDN.

What is not touched:

Domain registration at the registrar — still active and in your name until expiry.
Your Paddle payment receipt — still in your email inbox as proof of purchase.

Option 1 — Create a new account and reconnect the domain

This is the easiest recovery path if you still want to use EasyWebie.

1Create a new EasyWebie account (you can use the same email or a different one)
2Go to easywebie.com/support or email support@easywebie.com
3Include in your message:

- Your domain name (e.g. yourstore.com)

- The email address used on the deleted account

- Your Paddle transaction ID from the original purchase receipt

4The support team verifies your ownership via the payment record
5The domain is reconnected to your new account — it appears in your Domains tab and you can connect it to a new site

Response time: within 24–48 hours for domain recovery requests. These are treated as priority tickets.

4

Option 2 — Transfer the domain to another registrar

If you want to move your domain to GoDaddy, Namecheap, or any other registrar so you can manage it yourself:

1Contact support at easywebie.com/support or support@easywebie.com
2Provide your domain name, deleted account email, and Paddle transaction ID
3Request an EPP / authorisation code for the domain
4The support team retrieves the transfer code from the registrar and emails it to you
5Use that code at your new registrar to complete the inward transfer

Transfers typically take 5–7 days to complete at the registrar level. During the transfer, the domain continues to be registered and does not expire.

5

Option 3 — Point the domain to a different host

If you want to keep the domain active but host your website elsewhere (Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, your own server):

1Contact support with your domain name and proof of purchase
2Tell us the two nameserver addresses your new host requires
3The support team updates the nameservers at the registrar level
4DNS propagation takes a few hours

Alternatively, once the domain is reconnected to a new EasyWebie account (Option 1), you can use the Dashboard → Domains → Disconnect flow to get the domain into an unconnected state, then follow the nameserver change process yourself.

6

How to contact support

Support page: easywebie.com/support (submit a ticket while logged in or as a guest)

Email: support@easywebie.com

In your message always include:

The exact domain name (e.g. yourstore.com)
The email address that was used on the deleted account
Your Paddle transaction ID — found in the original purchase confirmation email sent when you bought the domain

The Paddle transaction ID is the critical proof of ownership. Without it the support team cannot verify the request.

7

Act before the domain expires

After account deletion, renewal reminder emails stop — EasyWebie can no longer reach you because the account is gone. This means you could miss the 30-day, 7-day, and 1-day reminders that the system would normally send.

Check your original Paddle purchase receipt for the domain registration date. Domains are registered for 1 year, so the expiry is exactly 1 year from purchase.

If the expiry is approaching, contact support urgently. A domain in the grace period (0–30 days after expiry) can still be recovered — but after that, the domain may be released back to the public and anyone can register it. Do not wait.

Tip: If you know you are about to delete your account and you have a domain, transfer it to a registrar you control directly (Option 2) before deleting — that way the domain is fully under your management and nothing depends on contacting support.
