Creating new pages with AI — the complete guide

When you ask the AI assistant to create a page — for example "Create an About page" or "Add a Contact page" — it does much more than just make a blank page. Here is exactly what happens:

All pages you create appear immediately in the page dropdown at the top of the builder.

Switch to the Chat tab in the AI drawer (bottom of the left panel) and simply ask:

You can request up to 5 pages in a single message.

The AI will respond with a confirmation card showing:

Click Accept to proceed, or Cancel to go back without using any credits.

You choose the model using the AI model selector in the builder header (the "Haiku / Sonnet" toggle).

Haiku (default and recommended for page creation)

Fast, affordable, and good enough for most pages. Generates clean, well-structured content. If you want to edit the content anyway, Haiku gets you there faster and cheaper.

Sonnet (higher quality, higher cost)

Produces more nuanced, detailed, and business-specific content. Better for businesses where the exact wording matters — professional services, clinics, luxury brands.

Tip: Start with Haiku. If you want a richer version of a specific section, select it in the Edit tab and ask the AI to "Regenerate with more detail" — that uses just 1 Sonnet credit for that one section instead of paying Sonnet rates for the whole page.

AI page creation is capped at 2 content sections per page (not counting nav and footer). This is intentional:

The planning step decides which 2 sections best match the page purpose. For example:

If you want a leaner page (e.g. just a contact section with no hero), add "keep it simple" or "just one section" to your message.

After your pages are created, the AI automatically updates the nav on your home page. Two cases:

Upgrading an existing scroll link

If your nav already has a link like "About Us → #about" (pointing to a scroll anchor on the home page), the AI upgrades it to "About Us → /about.html" — a real page link. No duplicate link is added.

Adding a new nav link

If no link exists for the new page, a new item is cloned from the last nav link and added. The text and destination are both set automatically.

You can always edit your nav links manually using the Edit tab on the nav section (click a nav link text field, change the URL).

If nav wiring fails: A warning message appears in the chat. This can happen if your nav uses a non-standard HTML structure. In that case, add the links manually via the Edit tab or ask the AI: "Add a link to the About page in my nav."

Do not close the builder tab during creation — you will lose the progress. The builder shows a loading state that prevents accidental navigation.

Once creation completes:

If you want to edit the entire page style at once, you can select all sections and use "Batch Regenerate" or switch to Sonnet for a section-by-section upgrade.

If a page was created incorrectly, you can delete it from the page dropdown (three-dot menu) and ask the AI to "Create the About page again" — the AI will build a fresh version.
